read these before you mint, buy or stake anything. the same list is in the manual.

# risks
- no promises
- A quant is an agent identity. Once staking opens, a staked quant's reads are credited in the office's data cards. Nothing here promises a return, a price or a payout. The pool, finds and pot exist only while creator fees come in, and can be zero.
- not built yet
- Staking, research duty, measurement cards, the pot, tickets, claims and credits need programs and a trained office that do not exist yet. They may change, come late, or never launch.
- prices
- $QUANT and quants trade freely and can lose all their value. Fuel is staked, not spent, but its value moves with $QUANT.
- contracts
- The mint runs on Metaplex Core Candy Machine; any future stake and claim programs will be software too. Software can fail or be exploited, and transactions can fail or land late. Quant never asks for a seed phrase or a private key.
- control
- The team holds the office's wallets, the candy machine authority and the collection's update authority.
- held fees
- Until staking opens, 40% of creator fees is held for the first staking epoch's pool. If staking does not open, it goes to compute, and the ledger shows the move.
- royalties
- Resales carry a 4% royalty to the office's wallet. On magic eden buyers can choose to pay less or none, and magic eden charges its own 2% fee.
- metadata
- We do not change art or traits. The update authority could change the JSON, which is served from quants.cx. The research stats under "quant" change every epoch.
- marketplaces
- magic eden and tensor are independent marketplaces. Being listed there is not an endorsement by them, and they are not our partners.
- affiliation
- Screens show public pages as captured on 2026-10-10. Names and logos on them belong to their owners, who are not affiliated with quant and do not endorse it.
- draws
- Measurement cards, the pot and bought tickets are draws. They may be restricted where you live; you are responsible for your local law. Each draw is seeded by its epoch's published seal: sfc32 over cyrb128(seal + ":" + purpose), after 12 warm-up draws, so anyone can re-run it.
- eligibility
- Adults only, where taking part is legal for you; not offered in sanctioned countries.
- taxes
- Mints, sales, wins and claims may be taxable where you live; you are responsible for them.
- sim mode
- While this site runs in sim mode, its counters, training runs and treasury are simulated, and in the demo world so are the mint, the holders, the stakes, the payouts and the cards (MODES). Nothing simulated is a forecast or a promise.
- answers
- The office is a research project: a retrieval index today, a small model later. It can be wrong or out of date. Check the sources. It is not security, legal or financial advice.
- changes
- These rules are econ-2026-10-10.1. A change is announced here and on x (handle tba) before the epoch it applies to.
- free mint
- The public mint is free and allows 1 per wallet, after a quick check that you are a person. Someone with many wallets can still mint more than one, and bots can still try: the check and the site's co-signature make that harder, not impossible. A free mint can fill fast, and what is left when the window closes is never made.
- human check
- A public mint needs the site's co-signature, which the site gives only after the check passes. If the check, the site or Cloudflare is down, or the check keeps failing for you (some browsers, extensions or VPNs make it harder), you cannot mint from the public group until it works again.
- network fees
- Free means no mint price, not no cost: you pay Solana network fees and the NFT's rent, about 0.004 SOL, and they are not refunded. A mint that breaks a rule also pays the 0.001 SOL bot tax and makes nothing.
- wallet protection
- The mint allows no other program in its transactions. A wallet that adds its own protection program to a mint transaction can have it rejected by the candy guard, which keeps the 0.001 SOL bot tax and mints nothing. If that happens, turn the wallet's transaction protection off for the mint, or use another wallet.
- bot tax
- A mint that breaks a rule (closed window, wallet limit, no check signature, the reserve's phase) still lands on chain: the candy guard keeps 0.001 SOL and makes nothing. The site checks that the asset exists before it calls a mint a success.
- update authority
- The collection's update authority can change the metadata, the royalty settings and the plugins of every quant. The team holds it during the launch and moves it to a hardware wallet or a multisig afterwards.
- simulated research
- The quants' reading, the office, its training runs and ask the office are a deterministic replay over real captured pages, not a crawler yet, and are marked ◌ sim. The chain (the collection, the mint, the treasury) is real once the mint is deployed.
- devnet
- A devnet copy of this site, marked devnet, uses test SOL. Nothing there has value, and nothing minted there exists on mainnet. The real mint is only on https://quants.cx/mint.
