quants - researches the post-quantum web and pretrains an LLM on it, from scratch.
quants [fees] → research → map → pretrain → office vn+1
DESCRIPTION
- research
Quants read the post-quantum web in real browsers: NIST standards, IETF RFCs and drafts, ePrint and arXiv papers, library docs, audits, agency guidance, chain proposals, forums and blogs. Every screen on this site is a page a quant read.
- ingest
Every page is checked against robots.txt, deduplicated, scored for post-quantum relevance and tokenized. Pages whose sites opt out of AI training stay on the map and never enter the dataset. The office's tokenizer is trained on the research too.
- map
The research is indexed by chapter (14, two still locked) and by project (120: algorithms, standards, protocols, libraries, products, chains, hardware, agencies, paper families), so coverage can reach 100%. Two chapters are locked: reddit, because reddit.com's robots.txt disallows every crawler, and github, which opens through its REST API rather than the browser.
- train
Each office version is pretrained from random init on the research and nothing else, with nanochat. Each major version is bigger: v1 intern 42.1M params, v2 analyst 75.5M, v3 associate 122.6M, v4 partner 185.6M. A version trains when its data target is met: 12M tokens for v1, 30M, 60M, 100M. Weights, tokenizer, data card and contributors go public on hugging face (org tba).
- ask
Ask the office anything post-quantum. Every answer cites the pages it comes from and the quant that read each one. Until a trained version is live, the office answers by retrieval: it quotes the pages it filed, labels the answer "office v0 · retrieval" and never invents a source. When it has nothing filed, it says so (live mode also sends a quant to look). Questions are cut at 500 characters; the dock keeps the last 10 turns.
- quantum-proof index
quant's own measure of how much of the move to post-quantum cryptography is done, from public numbers and quant's own tally: 20% PQ web encryption, 10% PQ origin servers, 20% PQ certificates, 10% standards pipeline, 5% government deadlines (9 confirmed; Korea's is single-source and not counted), 10% chain readiness, and 25% the share of 46 tracked projects with PQ on by default (quant's seed map, compiled 2026-10-10). Chain readiness scores 8 chains: PQ signatures on mainnet by default 1 (QRL), opt-in on mainnet 0.5 (Algorand, Solana), testnet or devnet 0.1 (Ethereum, Sui), proposal 0 (Bitcoin, Aptos, Cardano), so 2.2 / 8 = 27.5%. Today 38 / 100. It is not an industry standard, and it measures the world, not the office.
- colours
On the screens, every captured term is drawn by status. Solid: standardised (FIPS 203, 204, 205; SP 800-208). Double: hybrid (X25519MLKEM768, composite ML-DSA certificates). Dashed: not a NIST standard yet: FN-DSA and HQC (no public draft as of oct 2026), the 8 signature on-ramp candidates still in round 3, and FrodoKEM and Classic McEliece (ISO KEMs that NIST did not pick; Germany's BSI advised against Classic McEliece in new systems on 2026-10-01). Dotted: quantum-vulnerable but not broken today (RSA, elliptic curves). Struck through: broken or withdrawn (SIKE, Rainbow, GeMSS, HAWK). Thin: a concept, not a scheme (LWE, NTT, qubits, Q-Day). Any other link a quant reads is drawn plain, in grey.
- collection
1,024 agent identities at most, Metaplex Core on Solana: 1,008 in the public mint, free and 1 per wallet after a quick check (you pay only Solana network fees and the NFT's rent, about 0.004 SOL), and 16 for the office's reserve (one published test token before the mint, the other 15 in one announced batch after it). Gen 1 is #0001 to #0256, drawn at random like every number. Ten are hand-made 1/1s. What is not minted in its window is never made. Trading opens on magic eden and tensor after the mint.
Each quant has 8 visual traits: desk, chassis, uniform, sensor, palette, habitat, mark and find (72 values). The uniform is what it wears to work, one of 12: quarter-zip, midtown vest, hoodie, swag tee and oxford (common); puffer, cardigan and turtleneck (uncommon); braces, interview suit, lab coat and pit jacket (rare). Every quant also wears the office lanyard and ID badge, which is branding, not a trait; the interview suit wears a visitor sticker instead, and the pit jacket a pit badge lettered with its find. On a quant's page anyone can try the uniforms on. The try-on is cosmetic: the token keeps its issued uniform.
- quant
Every quant NFT is a research agent for the office. It researches and shares in the pool only while staked; unstaked, it is off duty and earns nothing. The office's 16 reserve quants research too and take no share of the pool. In the prelaunch simulation every quant on this site is a house quant; in the demo world staked quants do the research.
- house quants
The office's own 48 researchers, house #01 to house #48. They are not NFTs and nobody owns them. They wear the office's quarter-zip. In live mode and in the demo world each staked quant replaces one, one for one; in the prelaunch simulation they are the only quants.
- stake
One quant plus 100k to 3M $QUANT each. Locked 3 days from the stake, then unstake any time; unstaking resets its day count. It takes part in every 3-day epoch it is staked for whole, 00:00 to 00:00 utc; staking mid-epoch counts from the next one. The stake program (not built yet) will hold the quant and the $QUANT while it works.
- fuel
$QUANT staked with a quant is its fuel and sets its weight: 100k x1, 300k x2, 1M x3, 3M x5, linear in between, nothing above.
- measurement cards
6 measurement cards per epoch for each quant staked the whole epoch: one every 12 h, locked until the epoch closes, then ready to measure. Three alike pays: a 0.1 SOL share, a 2 SOL find, the pot, or pot tickets. A card not measured and a win not claimed in 30 days go back: SOL to the next epoch's pool, pot SOL to the next pot.
- claim
Wins add up on your account until you claim them, all in one transaction. The 30-day clock starts when claims open.
- pot
30% of each epoch's pool, plus the seed. Drawn when the epoch closes, by tickets: one winner gets 90%, 10% seeds the next. It lands on one measurement card.
- tickets
Free every epoch: gen 1 gets 18 per x1 of fuel, gen 2 gets 6. Cards drop more. Extra tickets cost 1,000 $QUANT each, burned.
- credits
Once staking opens, every page your staked quants read is credited in each office version's data card, under your name (set once) or the quant number.
- quantsbot
Quants read as quantsbot/1.0 (+https://quants.cx/man#quantsbot) in real Chrome. They obey robots.txt (RFC 9309) and Crawl-delay, read at most one page every 5 s per host (one a second on large CDNs), never solve CAPTCHAs or click consent banners, and keep pages that opt out of AI training (Content-Signal ai-train=no, TDM reservation, noai) out of the dataset. Consent overlays are hidden in screenshots, never accepted. To opt out of everything: "User-agent: quantsbot" then "Disallow: /". To have a page removed, write to the address published here at launch.
pump.fun creator fees for $QUANT land in the office's wallet. 60% pays for compute: research, training and serving: gpus, crawl servers and hosting. 40% funds the research pool, every 3-day epoch. It drops on the measurement cards: 50% as SOL to every wallet by its share, 20% as 2 SOL finds, 30% into the pot. The share goes half to gen 1 together and half to gen 2 together, by fuel within each; finds and the pot are drawn by tickets. Until staking opens, the 40% is held for the first staking epoch's pool; if staking does not open, it goes to compute, and the ledger shows the move. The mint is free, so there are no mint proceeds; the 4% royalties go to compute, never to the pool. Every SOL is on the ledger.
MODES
- chain
Where the collection, the mint, the holders, the treasury wallet and $QUANT come from: simulated (sim), Solana devnet (test SOL, for rehearsals) or Solana mainnet. It is set apart from the research, so the chain can be real while the research is still simulated: then the research panes keep their ◌ sim marks and the money panes carry none. The status bar shows chain ◌ sim, chain devnet or chain ● mainnet. This site: chain mainnet.
- liverunning
Every counter, screen, page, training step and ledger line comes from the office's backend. The status bar shows ● live.
- simworld
There is no backend yet. A deterministic simulator plays the network, so every visitor sees the same quants doing the same thing at the same moment. The status bar shows ◌ sim (on phones, the header does).
Real in sim mode: the 260 pages the quants read (captured on 2026-10-10 within robots.txt: 492 screenshots, about 1.03M tokens), the 14 chapters and 120 projects, the art, these rules, the real-world indicators, and ask the office, which searches those 260 pages and quotes them.
Simulated in sim mode: which quant reads which page and when, the counters (pages, tokens, domains, coverage), the office's training runs (a replay of a plausible nanochat run; no weights exist). The counters follow a simulated curve for the whole post-quantum web, so they run far ahead of the 260 captured pages the screens replay; they are not the captures. Most reads are re-checks that find nothing new, which is the honest picture of a small web. When the office has nothing filed, a quant is shown looking into it; nothing new is read.
On this site the chain is real (mainnet): the collection, the mint, the holders, the treasury wallet and its ledger are read from Solana, and their panes carry no ◌ sim mark. Staking, the pot and payouts do not exist yet; nothing about them is simulated beside the real chain.
Screens show public pages as captured on 2026-10-10; names and logos on them belong to their owners, who are not affiliated with quant and do not endorse it.
The sim has two worlds:
- demoworld
The default. It also simulates a mint (985 of 1,024 minted, nine days before the simulation began), about 969 holder wallets whose addresses start with Sim, stakes on about 39% of the quant, the research those staked quants do in place of the house quants, epochs closed by the rules below, payouts, the pot and measurement cards. The holder page can be viewed as one of six sim holders, read-only. All of it is simulated and marked ◌ sim; nothing here is on chain, and no win shown here was paid to anyone.
- prelaunchworldrunning
The world before any mint: the office's 48 house quants do all the research, and there is no mint, holder, stake or payout, and the sim does not pretend there is.
RISKS
No promises. A quant is an agent identity. Once staking opens, a staked quant's reads are credited in the office's data cards. Nothing here promises a return, a price or a payout. The pool, finds and pot exist only while creator fees come in, and can be zero.
Not built yet. Staking, research duty, measurement cards, the pot, tickets, claims and credits need programs and a trained office that do not exist yet. They may change, come late, or never launch.
Prices. $QUANT and quants trade freely and can lose all their value. Fuel is staked, not spent, but its value moves with $QUANT.
Contracts. The mint runs on Metaplex Core Candy Machine; any future stake and claim programs will be software too. Software can fail or be exploited, and transactions can fail or land late. Quant never asks for a seed phrase or a private key.
Control. The team holds the office's wallets, the candy machine authority and the collection's update authority.
Held fees. Until staking opens, 40% of creator fees is held for the first staking epoch's pool. If staking does not open, it goes to compute, and the ledger shows the move.
Royalties. Resales carry a 4% royalty to the office's wallet. On magic eden buyers can choose to pay less or none, and magic eden charges its own 2% fee.
Metadata. We do not change art or traits. The update authority could change the JSON, which is served from quants.cx. The research stats under "quant" change every epoch.
Marketplaces. magic eden and tensor are independent marketplaces. Being listed there is not an endorsement by them, and they are not our partners.
Affiliation. Screens show public pages as captured on 2026-10-10. Names and logos on them belong to their owners, who are not affiliated with quant and do not endorse it.
Draws. Measurement cards, the pot and bought tickets are draws. They may be restricted where you live; you are responsible for your local law. Each draw is seeded by its epoch's published seal: sfc32 over cyrb128(seal + ":" + purpose), after 12 warm-up draws, so anyone can re-run it.
Eligibility. Adults only, where taking part is legal for you; not offered in sanctioned countries.
Taxes. Mints, sales, wins and claims may be taxable where you live; you are responsible for them.
Sim mode. While this site runs in sim mode, its counters, training runs and treasury are simulated, and in the demo world so are the mint, the holders, the stakes, the payouts and the cards (MODES). Nothing simulated is a forecast or a promise.
Answers. The office is a research project: a retrieval index today, a small model later. It can be wrong or out of date. Check the sources. It is not security, legal or financial advice.
Changes. These rules are econ-2026-10-10.1. A change is announced here and on x (handle tba) before the epoch it applies to.
